There is always one thing that every driver adheres to: Safety. It is important to respect the right of all other road users as this will help avert accidents. Hitting another motorist or pedestrian leads to several consequences:-

You can prevent this by:

a) Driving when you are in good state of health.
b) Avoid taking alcohol or drugs that might cause drowsiness.
c) Observing road signals and respecting the right of other road users. Understand the meaning of the different road signs such as priority and mandatory signs among others. Follow instructions from traffic officers. Understand and use the traffic rules of the region, note that some regions and countries might have a totally different traffic laws from where you come from.
d) Consider improving your driving skills every onces in a while.
e) It is important to drive a car that has been maintained properly. The different fluid for different components should be in and in the quantity required. The engine should be cooled to sufficient levels to prevent the engine from over-heating.
